Breakout Session 3: Instigating Change
Maybe you are one organisation who have made public statements and pledged your support for the Black Lives Matter movement and against racial injustice. But supporting Black Lives Matter and racial injustice is not only about making a pledge , but also taking action to make a difference. Perhaps now is the time to do what’s next – creating an action plan that will drive change in your organisation.
In this session we will share and explore the work we are doing in Scottish Government to instigate change in race equality, promote diversity and embrace inclusion.
Breakout Session 4: Civil Engineering Framework Contract
We are currently compiling a Scottish Government Civil Engineering Framework, which will provide a mechanism to both Contracting Authorities and Contractors to procure construction works in Scotland which will be easy to use, with contract conditions drawn up jointly with industry using NEC4 as its base, and will encourage the use of local supply chains by providing regional lotting for smaller value works.
Breakout Session 5: Community Benefits Wish List
Strengthening the link between the Council, our communities and our suppliers to deliver meaningful Community Benefits
Breakout Session 6: Grow Local – Identifying Opportunities For Local Suppliers
A brief run through of how Local Authorities (and other contracting authorities) can use the Grow Local functionality to identify opportunities to increase the use of locally based suppliers.
